I found these on sale, and are significantly higher quality than my last set. The cord wrapping...yeah, that will quickly come off (I hope they don't use that as a selling point).
If you have never tried throwing knives before...you are in for a rude awakening :P It isn't easy. That being said, with a little patience you can figure out a distance which you can consistently hit the blade end of the knife into the target. You can then try to tailor your throws accordingly...I'm still not any good at it so I won't offer you flawed advice.
These are a good pickup. Quality made and sturdy.

By Brian Reaves
This set looks impressive as soon as you take it out of the box. The wrapped handles really feel nice in your hands. Don't get used to them though, as the first time you throw the knife into wood, the string begins to unravel and falls off. Fortunately, the black coating on the knife is all over it so you can still use it (and you might prefer it that way), but I hated to lose the wrap. It doesn't affect the throwing weight of the knife, obviously, so it's just a matter of personal preference.
The knives hold up well to throwing and they keep their point. I can't say they're perfect, but for a beginning set you'd be hard pressed to beat the price.

Very nice for, especially for the price. Good quality with nice nylon holster. I woud recommned a tiny drop of super glue (or fishing rod varnish) on the wrap ends prior to use though - otherwise the grips will begin to loosen up over time.
