This knife has done me good for over 2 years. I have used it for everything from making some sharp sticks in the woods to opening boxes or cutting thick straps holding tires together. I just sharpened it for the first time and its back to new. I have carried this in my right hand pocket of my jeans. You can now see the wear mark in my jeans from the knife, but I dont mind cause this thing couldnt be better.
Yes its made in Taiwan, but I dont mind stuff made there it China I cant stand. nothing has broken, but the action of opening and closing has gotten a tad rough. Some small amount of gun lube actually fixed the issue.
I will take this knife everywhere I go camping, shooting, fishing, ect....
Over all I give this knife a good to go!

Yes this knife series is a little on the heavy side (around 5.5 ounces) but if that isn't as important as toughness is to you, you will like this knife.
I first bought the Hawks Bill Tanto straight edge version and was happy with that so I bought the drop point version. Plan on reprofiling your blade. They seem to come ground around 25 degrees on one side and 20 on the other. I've been sharpening to a 20degree(40 inclusive) angle.
These knives are well made . They have bronze phosphor washers,excellent lock up,I find them easy to deploy(though I have faster knives).
I bought these two mainly for my collection though I will probably carry the hawks bill from time to time defensively.
They are climbing in price. Only Amazon has them in the $20 range. They seem to average around $43 but I've seen them as high as $65. At those price points there are better or more useful knives out there , so grab one for $20 while you can.

This knife is tuff! Will cut through anything and the handle will cup into your hand so if you need to make a stabbing motion, the knife won't slip. I think it's heavy for its size, but in a good way. It feels right in your hand. You can change the side and direction of the belt-clip easily.
