This WAS such a great feeling/looking pen. The ball bearing at the tip was effective enough to be used as a non-lethal striking point - - - UNTIL IT FELL OFF AND DISAPPEARED! The tip now looks like a snubnose. It can still be an effective striking/gouging point but it looks like something belonged there at one point and is there no longer. If Boker would've made a permanent sharp point, it would've been perfect. Too bad... I have about 10 tacpens (different brands). This was quickly becoming my favorite until it lost it's most crucial part (sold as a "glass-breaker" tip).

I think this pen is an incredible value for the money. Very well built. Have not tried sticking it through plywood boards or smashing windows. In daily use, it has held up perfectly. Good writing instrument, at lest for my size 9 hand. Nothing has worked loose or fallen off. Only quibble I have is that the spring clip is VERY strong. It won't fall out of your pocket, but it isn't easy to remove from pocket, either.
If you're curious as to how a "tactical pen" works for you, this is a great place to start.

I purchased 5 differant pens and found the Boker to be my favorite. The weight and grip feel comfortable in my hand and the writing pen is smooth and comfortable to use. As a defensive weapon I feel it will preform as designed. All in all a great product I would recommend to anyone seeking a great writing instrument with alternate uses.
